WHO ARE DRAGON RACING CLUB (DRC)?

 

Dragon Racing Club is a management company that compiles racing syndicates, formed of small groups of people that have shares in a number of horses.

 

 

HOW ARE DRC DIFFERENT FROM OTHER MULTIPLE OWNERSHIP GROUPS?

 

Dragon Racing Club prides itself on our highly professional and personal service we provide to its members, combined with the consistent success of our animals at the very highest level.

 

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES A SYNDICATE COMPRISE OF?

 

This can vary, with options available from 12 - 25 shares, for more information on this please visit our syndicates.

 

 

HOW MUCH CAN I PURCHASE A SHARE FOR?

 

Again, this can vary from syndicate to syndicate
but it ranges from £15,000 up to £165,000 per share.

WHAT IS INCLUDED FOR THE PRICE OF A SHARE?

 

Share prices cover all expenses including the purchase and training of the animals. A smaller sum, stated in our T&C's is due for the second year.

 

 

WHO PURCHASES THE HORSES?

 

Andy Smith will purchase all of DRC's horses alongside Managing Director, Butch Beaton Brown. Andy is one of the most respected bloodstock agents in the world. Purchasing has already begun and 8 yearlings - listed under our YEARLINGS page are already included.

 

 

WHO NAMES THE HORSES?

 

Dragon Racing Club Management will name the horses.
For the 2015 two year-olds they will be named after landmarks within the
respective syndicate cities, e.g. within the London syndicate we may have
‘Marble Arch’ or similar but we will look at any syndicate members’ suggestions.

 

 

WHEN ARE THE NEW SYNDICATES AVAILABLE?

 

Syndicates are already open and are available from signature of share purchase.
A share certificate will be issued by DRC’s lawyers’.

 

 

CAN DRC ASK FOR MORE MONEY OTHER THAN OUTLINED IN OUR T&C's?

 

Absolutely not. Any deficit is borne by DRC and not the shareholders.

 

 

HOW IS DRC RENUMERATED?

 

DRC will take a management fee equal to 10 % of funds raised in each syndicate,this will cover all expenses and salaries. The company will also take 10% of the sales price of any horse selling for more than twice it's purchase price.

 

 

HOW DO I KNOW MY HORSE IS RUNNING?

 

Owners are kept fully informed as to the progress and running plans of their horses. This will be done through either Managing Director, Butch Beaton Brown or your dedicated Racing Liaison Manager, Emily Archer-Perkins via email or telephone communication.

 

 

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THE LIFE OF A SYNDICATE?

 

Once all the horses are sold, the syndicate is wound up and the accounts reviewed by the auditors. Any surplus of income over expenditure is distributed to the shareholders. In the unlikely event of a defecit, any additional cost is borne by DRC thereby ensuring that no further calls for funds are ever made.

 

 

HOW LONG DO THE HORSES RACE?

 

DRC’s horses will all be sold by the end of their three year-old careers,
December 2016. Some will also be sold prior to this during the 2015 and 2016 racing seasons if management believe it more economical to sell than race.

 

 

IS MY SHARE SALEABLE?

 

All shares are transferable and DRC’s management will assist in selling
if a shareholder wishes to cash in at any time.

 

 

WILL EACH SYNDICATE BE COMPRISED OF BOTH COLTS AND FILLIES?

 

Yes we anticipate 2 fillies and 3 colts per syndicate depending
what we are able to purchase.
